Zuma Bay Girls Volleyball Club

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL CLUB

ABOUT

Our story begins with the So Cal Volleyball Club back in 1987.  We became one of the largest junior volleyball clubs in the country.  At the end of the 1988 season, there was a movement to make it a smaller, more manageable club.  At the same time, those of us who formed Zuma Bay felt there was need for an elite club in the Conejo and Simi Valleys, that would serve the expanding player base in the area.

For the 1989 season, we formed Zuma Bay Volleyball Club, with its mission to find, develop, and train those players that were looking for a quality program.

Through ten seasons, we have helped train many of the top players in this part of So Cal. We have had quite a few players travel a great distance to join our program.  Our record, both in terms of competition and player placement into colleges is outstanding.

Zuma Bay's elite team has finished in the top eight in the SCVA region, the toughest in the country.  Our 16 and under elite teams finished in the top 20 at Davis for numerous years and have taken 3rd place in the Lone Star Classic.  These achievements have been attained without actively recruiting players or giving scholarships to acquire players.

Ninety-two seniors have played for Zuma Bay in 12 years.  Every player who wanted to play in college has been done so.  Of the sixty-nine who have played collegiate volleyball, forty seven have received scholarships before graduation from high school.
